IPL, or Intense Pulsed Light, is a method of hair removal that uses light to target the pigment in the hair, disrupting the hair growth cycle and preventing regrowth. It is a safe procedure that does not damage the skin.

IPL is suitable for people with naturally dark blonde, brown and black hair, and it works on a range of skin tones from very white to dark brown. However, it is not effective on white, grey, light blonde or red hair, and it is not suitable for very dark skin.

1. Light energy is applied to the skin and absorbed by the melanin in the hair shaft.
2. The absorbed light is converted into heat beneath the skin's surface, which disables the hair follicle and prevents further growth.
3. Treated hairs naturally fall out over a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on the person.
4. To catch each hair during its growth phase, it is recommended to repeat the treatment every week for eight weeks.
